In mid 2015 we took the plunge to invest in a holiday home. We had been looking into a traditional IHL investment, however we were attracted to purchasing a holiday home due to the potential of excellent returns and the ability to spend time at the cottage as a family when it isn’t let out.
The team at Homesure/Pillow sourced us a beautiful harbour front cottage in an ‘off market’ deal at below the home report valuation. They assisted us when it came to sourcing an appropriate mortgage and insurances etc in order to buy the cottage. Once we bought it they also helped to renovate and furnish the cottage throughout, including installing a wood burning stove and locally sourcing pictures, so it was ready for marketing.
They also helped us put together an internet page and uploaded all the details onto the relevant holiday letting portals. Six months into our venture, the team at Pillow have been busy promoting our cottage and we already have five 5 star reviews on TripAdvisor and AirBnB and the cottage is booked out for the majority of our first summer.
We are really pleased to have made the decision to buy our holiday home and look forward to continuing to work with the Pillow team as we grow our revenue and improve our guest experience!
Pillow turned my buy-to-let property that generated me £150 profit per month into a serviced apartment that now earns £800 profit a month -from the same property!
Our occupancy rates nearly doubled within 6 months of using Pillow, I don't know what they do to get it, all I know is that I wish I had heard of them years ago
Pillow did everything from start to finish - sourced me a property, fully set it up and now fully manage it for me. I literally have done nothing but now have a fully operational holiday home
I stopped doing my own changeovers and passed the management over to Pillow. I now have a totally hand-off business AND still make more money than I did before!
A big thank you to the Pillow team for their help over the last few months, we had no idea where to start and Scott and Ilona took us through step by step
